Darjeeling is amongst the best connected hill stations in India. You can come by air to Baghdogra airport which is 90 km from the city and 12 km from Siliguri in the foothills.Baghdogra is connected to many cities in India. From Baghdogra you can take a taxi and journey by road is a wonderful experience as the route lies through forests, tea gardens and wooded hills dotted with small towns and pretty villages.

By Rail:

The tiny Darjeeling Hill Railway. The six hour journey from New Jalpaiguri/Siliguri is like a sightseeing tour. While Siliguri is the main gateway to the city, Darjeeling is connected by good roads to all the major centres in the region like Gangtok, Kalimpong, Kurseong, Mirik etc.
